As Newark Housing Authority sought to upgrade its current office space, our firm was tasked to provide a building needs assessment report for the 100,000 ft2 6 story office building owned and occupied by the housing authority. Subsequent office renovations were performed to modernize the 1st, 4th and 5th floor office spaces. Renovations included creation and enlargement of a waiting/reception area, client interview area, and reallocating of space for general staff open plan areas, private offices, and conference rooms. Work included demolition of walls and ceilings, new partitions and ceilings, repair of existing partitions and ceilings, upgrading of interior finishes, fire alarm systems, mechanical and electrical system modifications.
